Hello,
Our scholarship funding is growing.
DeKalb County school graduates who apply to NIU for fall 2024, file their FAFSA by Feb. 1 and meet our AIM HIGH criteria will automatically be considered for one of our newly increased AIM HIGH Partnership Awards.
Beginning fall 2024, we’re moving from a one-time $3,000 award to an annual, renewable $1,000 award. This increases our total award amount for each student from $3,000 to $4,000.
At NIU, we offer a variety of financial aid and scholarships opportunities to meet the needs of our students, including our merit scholarships based solely on high school GPA. Last fall, we awarded more than $27 million in scholarships.
Please encourage your students at Genoa-Kingston High School to apply to NIU today. There’s no application fee, and we don’t use test scores to make admissions decisions.
